The second phase of preparation to New Year was creating Christmas wreath.
For the
basis we gathered withies fallen after storm. But we coudn't start
it immediately that day thus several days later we moistened it in warm
water.
To make the circle form I took top of simple aluminum can and began to plait twig after twig.
When the width of the wreath was sufficient I used threads in several places to fasten it.
Then I attached cones to it with threads. Entwined the bun of the cones
and tied it to the wreath. However wire would be much more appropriate.
In the space between the cones I have fixed small decoration balls on a satin ribbon. Grouped it by three items and cycled dull with enameled ones.
Two twigs of thuja and several of briar literally transformed the
wreath. I used satin ribbon to fasten the twigs. Remained decoration
balls I fixed in the assumed bottom point of the wreath.
The last step was to make the band to hang the wreath and to make a beautiful bowknot.
Our Christmas wreath is ready.
